Cindy joined the Army Reserves straight out of high school, and it was the Reserves that provided her with her dental assistant training. After leaving the Army, she worked as a dental assistant for nearly 14 years before earning her dental hygiene degree from Guilford Technical Community College in 2000.
She joined Dr. Stanfield’s practice as a part-time dental assistant in 1996, and on completion of her dental hygiene degree in 2000 assumed her current full-time position. In 2008, Cindy earned her bachelor’s degree in human relations from High Point University in High Point, NC. She says that what she learned has helped her understand the idea of teamwork better, and appreciate the collegial environment at the practice even more than she already did.
Cindy, her husband Tony, Dee Dee the beagle/border collie mix, and a herd of 27 Black Angus beef cattle live on a farm in southern Lexington, NC; originally farmed by Tony’s grandparents.
Cindy and Tony attend Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church in Thomasville, NC.
